It depends on a few factors. Due to the extreme cleaning and suction capability, the time adjusts based on hard the vacuum is working to suck up the dirt. Of course, I am not an engineer. I am simply going by the sound and feel of it and reading my vacuum as I vacuum my home. I have hardwood, tile and carpet in my house along with three dogs and so far mine has lasted 50 minutes before have to charge. This includes changing the tools a couple times for the type of floor I was vacuuming on. I will say that I have two older Dyson handhelds and this one by far is getting more micro dust and is much quieter than my others. I love it!
