Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V15 Detect's high torque drive cleaner head does feature a spinning brush bar, along with 3 different suction modes. While this machine does perform well on the majority of floor types, we're not able to test every permutation. We would recommend checking with your carpet/rug manufacturer as they may have specific guidelines for using a high powered vacuum or a rotating brush bar on your specific carpeting fibers.
