Hello Betsy, this is Kelly with Dyson. The new V15 Detect is a great option for homes with both bare flooring and carpeting. This model includes two cleaner heads. First, you'll have the Laser Slim Fluffy, which has a laser revealing dust/dirt on hard floors, and soft nylon and anti-static carbon fiber filaments to pick up debris. You also have the high torque cleaner head with an anti-tangle comb to pick up dust and hair from all floors. Weight wise, this machine is just about 6.8 pounds, and that weight includes the wand and floor tool. This model will also come with a variety of tools, one being the hair screw tool.
