According to sir-apfelot a consumer blogger 1AW roughly = 52pa, so 230 AW = 11,960 Pa = 11.9 kPa. Dyson doesn't measure in kPa because their numbers don't match their competition.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.10 KPA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had multiple Dysons. Very strong suction power. While other vaccuums may have higher kilopascals with the design the design for effective cleaning is what makes the difference compared to budget brands. Better sealed and more concentrated suction. I had a budge brand which was about 35 kpa and it iangood but I never got that strong suction like from a Dyson that really clamps down on the carpet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the problem with kPa measurement is it is based on covering the suction tool and measuring the vacuum with no flow. the AW (AirWatt) measure from Dyson is dynamic and measures real suction and flow together that you actually experience while cleaning the floor. What you need from a vacuum is total air flow plus enough vacuum to carry the particles into the dust collection bin. Dyson models generally have more AW as the model number increases. However, what gets quoted is the maximum at the highest power setting. the lower power settings could have AW as little as 15% of the max power setting (good for dust bunnies but not great for a lot of crumbs).

Dyson doesn't measure the power of our machines based on PSI or KPA. However, the suction power for this unit is 230 air watts when in boost mode, 47 air watts while on medium mode and 26 air watts when used on Eco mode. Hope that helps!
