• Yes, but not big deal. Start Button is VERY soft to the point you may start it on with little contact.

• Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. You do need to hold the trigger down while in use, to keep the V15 Detect powered. The only two models we offer that have an on/off switch would be the Omni-Glide which is a small compact hard-floor vacuum, or the V12 Detect Slim machines. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
