• Yes this works perfectly on all hardwood floors with the hard floor attachment with laser light for viewing dust. No you cannot mop with this as you don’t want to expose it to water.

• Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can use the V15 Detect on hard floors. There is no function or tool available on this machine that would allow you to mop with this vacuum. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
