It will work but its better to get the hard floor attachment there is a huge difference
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The vacuum head to me can be used on hard floors. If you are talking about Hardwood Floors I had no problems with the attachments that came with the vacuum on mine. With that being said I would still be careful with using it on hardwood floors.

While the machine will offer less run time in MAX power mode, most households find standard power sufficient for everyday messes. When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes.
