A:AnswerThe long shaft can come off so you can put attachments on and use it as a hand vacuum. The only difference between the v7 animal vs v8 animal that I can tell is the battery last 10 minutes longer on the v8. Not positive if there is a suction difference. Same amount of attachments for both v7 and v8.
