The long shaft can come off so you can put attachments on and use it as a hand vacuum. The only difference between the v7 animal vs v8 animal that I can tell is the battery last 10 minutes longer on the v8. Not positive if there is a suction difference. Same amount of attachments for both v7 and v8.

Our V7 Animal includes the mini motorized tool, soft dusting brush, combination, crevice tools and comes with our direct drive cleaner head. Our V8 Animal includes the same tools, but our V8 runs up to 40 minutes of fade free power. Both machines will come with a charging cord and docking station as well.
