The Dyson V7 Animal comes with the combination tool, crevice tool and the mini motorized tool which was designed to pick up pet hair from furniture, stairs and other hard to reach areas. You can use the Animal on hard floors as well as carpeting. If you have delicate floors where you would not wish to use a spinning brush bar, you may wish to upgrade from the Animal model up to the Absolute. The only difference with the Absolute model is that it also comes equipped with the soft roller head, which was engineered specifically for use on hard floors.

These units also feature two suction modes, MAX and regular power. While regular power is suitable for most household messes, you may find that some debris is more stubborn to pick up and does require MAX power mode. While in MAX power, your unit will receive a boost of power, making suction more powerful. When fully charged, you can expect run time from 7-30 minutes, depending on which suction mode and tools you are using. On your heavy duty carpeting, you may find that MAX power performs better.
