Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. we're sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with your V7 Motorhead holding a charge. Our cordless models feature a run-time enhancing trigger, hygienic bin emptying, and a variety of tools and attachments to tackle varying cleaning tasks. With regard to battery life on our V7, your machine features two power modes, regular and MAX. Right out of the box, the machine will be set to MAX power, which provides a generous boost of suction power to tackle more stubborn messes or larger debris. In this mode, your run time will be up to 7 minutes. For everyday household vacuuming, regular power mode will provide sufficient suction, along with 20-30 minutes of run time, depending on the tool being used. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Time for a new battery... mine has just reached the same situation after two and a half years of use. New battery £65 (UK) from Dyson, or cheaper from resellers on Amazon. Needs a screwdriver to remove/replace three screws to fit...video available on YouTube.
