Hello Gene, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V7 Motorhead will include one battery. The run time on ur V7's is up to 30 minutes. The lifespan of the battery can vary from home to home, however we do expect the battery to last well beyond the 2-year guarantee on the machine. While you can replace the battery if needed, we do not recommend regularly swapping out the battery as it's held into place with smalls screws, which can become stripped over time with repeated removal.
