It doesn't pick up anything sticky on the tile floors. And nothing too big either. Not sure about the wool shag carpet but it worked on my carpets that are 1/2" thick. No accessory is needed for regular rugs.

The Dyson V7 Motorhead does feature a spinning brush bar, which cannot be disabled, so while it would be a great option for your tile flooring, it wouldn't be suitable for your shag carpets. Our upright models do have brush bars, however that can be disabled for vacuuming any floor surface, where it's recommend to vacuum without using a brush. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
