Yes, it can reach that high, and I use it on both carpet and concrete/tile floors. Works great on both. There are multiple tools should you need them, but the standard one works great for me.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it can. I'm 6' and if I lift the vacuum upward, I have no problem reaching 10'; although my arms might be tired. The soft roller brush is a great roller for concrete floor. I've been using the soft roller for my rugs. But if you feel it is inadequate, it comes with another roller specifically designed for rug.
