Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Will, this is Krystal with Dyson.When emptying the bin on the Dyson V8, simply pull up on the red lever. This will engage the rubber collar that drives out the debris. It will feel as if it cannot be pulled up any further. Just give the red lever another tug to engage the opening of the bin lid. After you have emptied the bin, it is important to note that you must push the cyclone back into the bin BEFORE closing the lid. If you close the lid first, this can cause it to jam and become difficult to empty the next time you empty it.
