I had the same issue. After mounting the docking station I realized that the charger could not reached the nearest electrical outlet by ~2 inches. I used an old power strip to extend it. I wish the power cord was about a foot or two longer than it is.

Please try again later.Hi there, I have the same issue.… Just a heads up adding an electrical outlet is not very complicated for someone who knows about this sort of thing. I plan to call my electrician To install a new outlet inside my closet which is where I plan to mount my Dyson docking station. It’ll be so cool to charge while it docs!

Our cordless units do some with a diagram, showing the proper dimensions to use, to mount the dock so it will reach the outlet. We do not recommend using a power strip or extension cord to charge your cordless machine, as that can cause over-current issues. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
