“I have a Dyson V8 cordless vacuum. Lately when I use it it seems to "wheeze" and have difficulty in picking up dirt on the wood floors or low pile rugs. After "wheezing" for a few minutes, it shuts off. It is fully charged. What can be wrong with it?”

• Does the filter need cleaning? I would start there--let it dry completely after washing it out, too. I think mine started to 'wheeze' as you say after I rinsed my filter, but it wasn't completely dry yet.

• You probably have something caught in the head you are using. Remove it and see if it does it without the head. If it does clean your filters.
