I do not think so. I have moderate hearing loss in my left ear. The Eargo hearing aid helps to hear better, but does not bring up the hearing to that of the normal right ear. I think profound hearing loss would not be helped much with Eargo.

I don’t think the Eargo 5 would help for profound hearing loss. It does well for my hearing loss which is moderate to severe at higher frequencies.
