• You order the things you want to get first and by the time you get to where they asked you how to do you want pay for it, you go where it says gift card or coupons and put the code from the eBay gift card you just bought.

• At the bottom of your checkout page on ebay.com there's a section titled 'Gift cards and coupons.' You enter your gift card code there and apply it. Ebay gift cards get tied to your ebay account for future purchases if any balance remains.
