It's wireless in the sense that the camera does not have any wiring that needs to run directly into your head unit. You simply install the cam in the back of your vehicle and run a wire to a power source (such as your reverse light). There is a separate wireless receiver that you plug into the RCA jack on the back of your head unit. There are certainly wires involved, and some install know-how required, but unlike traditional cams, there's no requirement of running a long wire throughout the entire length of the vehicle, which can save a lot of time on install.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a new JVC radio installed and the backup camera feed comes up on the display when I put the truck in reverse. There one wire though, it is to connect power to the camera from the truck. It was spliced into one of the wires, but I did not see which one. I did not install it.
