“I have a 2001 Ford Windstar minivan and my understanding is that most backup cameras are mounted above the license plate. The plate on my Windstar is on the tailgate. Will the camera be jarred & damaged when slamming the tailgate shut?”

I've got one on my Jeep compass that has the same plate location. It's still tight and working as it did from day one
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it shouldn't. The camera is all solid-state, and the adjustment doesn't easily move on its own. Mine is on a hatchback, which probably slams harder than your liftgate, and I don't have any problems.
