I am wondering if you found a solution for this issue? I have the same scenario with my home HVAC, 2 zones, 1 thermostat wired and the other not wired and both connected to a gateway that communicates with the dual zone panel. I would like to use smart thermostats, but not sure which ones would work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have a split system downstairs with an ecobee thermostat and a Honeywell thermostat upstairs with no wire running to it, the ecobee thermostat alone won't control the upstairs temperature if there's no direct connection or communication between the two systems. The ecobee thermostat won’t connect to or control the Honeywell system upstairs if it’s not wired to it. You might need to address the wiring issue or consider a solution that integrates both systems. ecobee can help you find a Pro to help address this issue here: https://www.ecobee.com/services/find-a-pro/?deviceId=a1bde387-632b-43ad-9f3f-7a49ec4c5d5dR&sessionId=1725034262908
