You can manage the Ecobee from a web browswer, it doesn't require a phone app.

Please try again later.The only adavantage of the phone app is you can adjust temperatures when you are away or home, but more importantly if you are connected to Wi-Fi it will notify you have a high humidity problem or smoke detection etc. everything on the device is in the app and you can do anything in the app that you can go on the thermostat.
