I had a very old and semi complex system. I could not do it on my own. I called tech support and with their help, and sending some pictures to eachother, we got it done relativity easy. I'd do it again, worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have a common wire on your thermostat, anyone can install this. It was drop dead simple. If you don't have a common wire then it's more difficult and you may want help. It is easy to see if you already have a c-wire connected to your system. Simply remove your current thermostat face from its baseplate and look for the terminal labeled with the letter “c.” If this terminal has a wire attached to it, you have an active “c-wire.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely, follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Some basic tips, turn off power to the thermostat and fan, label all wires with the stickers provided, and mount it in the place of your old thermostat. If it helps, I'm not an electrician, and I did it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Review the install manual, confirm your current wiring set up, if it's supported install is simple.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s so simple, cut off all the power at the junction box and make sure to take a picture of the wires assigned to the old system, then use the labels that come with the thermostat to make sure all wires are set with the right label. If you follow the directions or don’t. Call the support folks at ecobee. They will wall you through the setup and get you going!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely easy if you take a picture of the previous wiring your old thermostat had. If anything goes wrong Ecobee has pretty good tech support to walk you though it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it only took me about 5 minutes of physical labor, and about 10 minutes worth of pushing buttons. As for tools, I only used a #2 Phillips head screwdriver.
