As long as your modem has signal INSIDE the metal building, this should work great!

Preferably what you will do is run an ethernet cable from one of the working eero in your house to this shed and plug in this eero on the other end of the cable, so the eero will get its feed from the cable and provide wifi inside the steel building (since steel isn't very friendly on wireless signals, it is unlikely the eero will get a wireless signal from one of the house eero).
