Yes I’m pretty sure it would. It worked for us and ours is a detached garage.

From my experience, it will. However, it may not be the best signal. If you need a strong & consistent connection, I’d recommend having an Ethernet hard wired into your garage, then placing a cheaper router inside the garage.
