You just need a modem for this to work, the eero basically replaces your router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not need Verizon's router. You can use the eero instead. Fios is a fiber optic system so it doesn't technically use a modem. It uses an ONT, (Optical Network Terminal) which is owned and installed by Verizon. The ONT provides the ethernet connection for you to connect to the eero or other router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That doesn't make any sense. You can use any one of these for a router each of them have capabilities of being a router
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You still need a modem and in my case the router and the modem is one unit. I turned the wifi off at the router but still have to connect the ero to the modem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, why rent when you can own a way better router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With only Verizon internet, yes, you should be able to use this instead of the Verizon router (If you are using their TV service you will need their router). You will still need a modem to hardwire the head/gateway eero into. The modem translates the internet feed from the utility lines (coax/fiber, etc) to something you can use (an ethernet port). Which modem will depend on Verizon, ask them.
