They make that by adding the theoretical maximum speed of all the radios together, in this case the 574Mbps at 2.4 and the 1201Mbps at 5ghz and rounding up. Those speeds, however, would only happen in perfect/ideal circumstances and not in real life (for this one we see wireless speeds up to around 500 Mbps). The up to 500 Mbps specification on the box shows how much incoming internet we recommend this one for, if you have more you want to go with the eero 6 Pro (or Pro 6E)
