You first Eero must be connected by an ethernet cable to your router. My suggestion would be to run that ethernet cable from the basement to the main floor ( 1 straight cable) If ypu need to purchase a long cable, make sure to get a round one, not a flat Ethernet cable
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No that can’t replace that. It’s not a modem. You would use your provided xfinity modem. That will take the traffic and hand it to the eero for the eero to manage. So the eero will be your router which routes the incoming and outgoing network traffic. Modem would just bring it in the house and you’d connect the main eero to the xfinity via Ethernet cable. It replaces your cable provider router, not modem. If your xfinity unit is a modem/router combo you need to go In the gui firmware and turn off the router/ wifi radios
