When I purchased the EERO routers I was told by Best Buy tech that these routers need to pair with one another and couldn’t have a conflicting router, another brand because it would interfere with them pairing. Therefore I purchased a modem by itself whereby I plugged one of the EERO router to it and then plugged in the other two upstairs. It was also important the two upstairs routers were plugged in away from other electronic devices. (So not near tv, etc.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I kept my existing Spectrum modem, but got rid of the router (not a Spectrum router). One of the Eero units serves as a router, so you should be able to return the Spectrum router and save some cost.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.eero cannot extend a non-eero wifi network. What would you need to do instead is plug in one eero to your Spectrum router and it will create a new wifi network (you can use the same name/password as on the Spectrum router). You can use additional eero to extend that eero wifi network over your home. The eero network can be put into bridge mode once it is setup so you will still be using the Spectrum router to control the network. We would advise disabling the wifi from the Spectrum router if you can, or, if you can't, change its name/password so both wifis won't be using the same name/password.
