Yes that's exactly how I have one of the eero setup with a 4 port switch. No issues what so ever.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I dont know why you need that router. I only use one ethernet in port on the main eero coming from the modem. My other two Eero are 100% wifi connected but they each have 2 ethernet ports for faster gaming or whatever else you want to attach that way. We replaced a nighthawk AC1900 with these 3 little things. Best thing we've done. Why keep the nighthawk at all? Our house is a long flat ranch and the 1900 worked just ok. Now with the 3 Eero placed one in center of house ethernetted to the modem and other 2 at either ends of house..no more issues. Each one has 2 ethernet ports for attaching things but why use them..I don't.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The system only requires 1 ethernet port to mesh the house in wifi. Each unit has 2 ethernet out ports, they do not link together via ethernet they use a secure closed wifi system to link. Only 1 pod attaches to your ethernet modem/router the rest link together via secure wifi. They're powered by wall outlet.
