“I purchased a Eero Pro Router alone. If I purchase the Eero Pro 3-pack, will these match together or does the 3-pack system work by itself? In other words, does one of the same smaller units act as the router in absence of a Pro Router?”

They all work together throughout the whole house 1 modem and router the rest well be one access point.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The difference between what you bought and what's available is the size of area you're servicing. We purchased the three pack with a separate modem. Yes, they work together and yes one is the router and we placed the other two in the upper level and the other one in the basement. The modem is setup next to the router. Bada bing, bada boom. You don't need all that if you're in a smaller space. Hope this helped!
