The modem comes with the Eero so we returned our ISP modem when we installed the system. At that time it accommodated the highest bandwidth available under our contract (about 400-500 mbps) but we downsized our bandwidth to 150 mbps to save money. We lose about one quarter of that in the furthest point of our house, but it is still fast enough to meet our download needs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The eero Pro will accommodate pretty much any ISP speed up to at least 1Gbps. However, what is actually delivered to your WiFi devices will always be much, much less. This variable depending upon lots of things including the number of WiFi devices connected, the amount of WiFi bandwidth those devices are using, distance from the eero to the WiFi device, signal interrupters like walls, people, plants, furniture, appliances, etc. between the eero and the device, and competing frequency devices like microwave ovens, wireless phone systems, other strong networks. In most cases you can get your own modem. See current online reviews for recommendations as these will change over time.

How much of that actually gets to any WiFi device is dependent upon lots of issues such as number of WiFi devices connected, distance from the eero, substance of walls between eero and device, and so on. eero recommends a minimum ISP speed of 1mpbs. 2- In most cases you do not need to use the ISP’s modem, and you can replace it with a current, high-quality one for little costs. Since recommendations change over time, I recommend looking at reviews of current products in publications and review sites online.
