Hi. I hope I can help a little. The ElectronWheel provides an extremely easy way to turn a normal bike into an electric bike. The wheel replaces your current front wheel, and contains everything that is needed save a little sensor that you strap around the crank to tell the wheel when you are peddling the bike. The electric motorized wheel only kicks in once you are peddling, so it is peddle assist. You can not press a button and go without peddling. For me, this is an advantage. While the bike allows me to negotiate my 7 mile commute to work without difficulty, I do still feel as if I've gotten some exercise. For the hills I face, the wheel uses about 30% of its battery energy going to work, and about 60% of its battery energy coming back home (14 miles round trip). I take the charger with me, and replenish the 30% used to get to work before returning home. The battery levels are accessible from a smart phone app that is used to setup and change settings on the wheel. I don't find that I need to change settings (like the amount of peddle assist) very often, but the battery monitoring function is crucial. The wheel works really well, and I really like it. Sometimes, I wonder if my front breaks have as much oomph as I would like in order to slow down the heavy front wheel, but mostly, I am overjoyed with this purchase.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
