• make sure you are using the hdmi 2.0 port and not the hdmi 1.2 port. if you use the hdmi 2.0 port, you should be able to set your console to 1440p/120hz.

• Hello and thank you for your question. In order to support 1440p at 120hz with an Xbox Series S, you must use an HDMI 2.1 cable. Unfortunately, this Element gaming monitor only supports HDMI 2.0, meaning your game play can be either 1440p at 60Hz or 1080p at 120Hz.
