Short answer is, yes it works. According to someone on Reddit: Tested Facecam on ChromeOS 109 with Acer Chromebook 315 (CB315-4HT-P5Q7) and it works fine in Google Meet after upgrading Facecam firmware to 4.09. With original firmware 4.06 the camera wasn't appearing in Google Meet. Google Meet itself is limited to 720p and uses heavy compression and boosts contrast. The compression artifacts and low resolution is only visible on the other side - the preview I see on Chromebook itself is looking fine, so be aware that what you see is not what others see. This is despite forcing 720p on both sides. Despite heavy compression and low resolution used by Google Meet the quality improvements over built-in webcam are clearly visible by meeting participants. I've also checked "battery_firmware info" in crosh and the camera seems to be consuming around 300 mA. On this particular Chromebook, this is 40% more power consumption compared to built-in webcam. However I guess using Facecam while on battery power is not very common use case :-)
