Hi Cameron, For the functionality to be all there you must meet all requirements, not just an i5 but a quad core i5 4xxx for laptop or higher, etc.. If you have anything else we can help with, please reach out: support.corsair.com -Art

To use the basic functionality of Elgato Game Capture HD60, including video capture and editing, your CPU needs to be multi-core. It needs to have four or more cores. If you are using an Intel CPU, it should be a 4th Generation Intel Core i5, or a processor from a newer generation that's even more powerful.
