• No, cardioid polar pattern from the front only. It picks up a good amount of "background" noise from the sides.

• Hi Brayden, The Wave:3 has a cardioid polar pattern, which is perfectly oriented for speakers facing the Wave:3's front. Audio may be picked up from the Wave:3's sides and back, but are less detectable. If you have any additional questions, we'd be happy to help: support.elgato.com -Albert
