My experience is the battery alone lasts 1-2 hours. After washing and drying, I put on the charging pad to keep fully charged when not use. Maybe Gen 3 will us qi charging

To fully charge from a depleted mug, it can take up to 2-3 hours and the Ember is 100% safe to keep on the charging coaster when not in use!
