I'm not surprised the company has not continued support for software that becomes too obsolete or unable to run on new operating systems, older versions are immediately discontinued when a new version comes out. (x.00 where the first number or name changes). I bought the packaged version. It does require internet to download and update if you decide to use your digital code or it has a DVD where you can install it from the disc. I usually find the packaged version on sale and with deeper discounts than a digital only copy.
