The AAA ports should be recessed behind the AA ports.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The batteries all stand in the upright position. That is, positive up and negative down. Insert bottom of battery first then push top into place. The AAA uses the raised metal contact at the rear of the dock and the AA uses the front of the dock. Plug into wall power socket and when green light is on you are ready to go.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.straight forward...follow the polarity as shown on any charger and have at it. had one charger that would handle 4 AAA's and it did not like if you did not have 4 in it. just put other rechargeable AAA's to satisfy the need for 4.
