because they are rechargeable Ni-Metal hydride, not alkaline
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can say that all rechargeable batteries that I have bought retail have always been 2500mAh or less. I have a battery operated Doggie Door that can really take the juice. The only place I have found batteries with a higher mAh are from a battery store and are Considerably Higher. I have 8 30,000mAh batteries for the Doggie Door that I swap and believe me that you will not touch 1 30,000mAh battery for 10 bucks. When you can get 2 2500mAh general purpose rechargeable batteries on sale for around 10 bucks, that's a steal. Maybe a online store might have some higher mAh batteries cheaper, but I've always been told you get what you pay for. These doggie door batteries are 4 years old and still going. A hint on re-chargeable batteries that I was told by a supply store. Purchase a battery charger that will safely discharge the batteries before charging and they will last longer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That’s a question for Mr. energizer to answer. All I know is they work well however the run time is not as long as the non rechargeable ones. When you compare the cost of per hour of usage these soon become a bargain.
