HP is saying video playback of 7 hours 15 minutes. General use/surfing would be up to 9 hours. See the HP website for more details.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the application (some consume more battery than others); for example VP9 video playback improved more than 100% (yes, twice the time on same battery size), whereas H.264 saw about a 20% improvement. If you consider the drastic improvement in compute power (this outdoes the fastest Intel for ultraslim laptops) the battery life is very impressive. Bestbuy does price matching, so I recommend you keep an eye on HP's website on black friday; just a day ago the price was so amazing for this laptop that I do not want to bring it up for those that did not buy (no point in making you feel bad).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This laptop doesn't achieve anywhere near the advertised battery life. Check out this link: https://hothardware.com/reviews/ryzen-mobile-benchmarks-and-performance-analysis?page=3 On the bright side, this APU is VERY competitive for performance!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It gets around 10 hours with light use
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can expect around 12-15 hrs on a fully charged battery depending on use case (playing movies, casual web-surfing, gaming). I don't own a fx9800p but I had a i7 4th generation HP Envy from years ago with a battery life of 4-6 hrs. During my normal usage of this laptop, I found myself reaching for the charger a couple of days later when compared to the, just keep it plugged in on the Envy.
