“will this printer still print in black if the color cartridges are out of ink ?”

• nope, you will need all ink to be filled to just print black. I think that is just ridiculous, I had to go back to the store to get the refill on the magenta. I was only printing black ink

• I believe so. I was low on colors, but my copies still came out clear just with the black ink.

• It will not print if any of the colors are completely empty. It would be nice if it did though.

• no. you must have ALL inks in place in order to print
