In my opinion it is because we are using older model printers . They are using up inventory. I suggest Go to ink saver selection. It even prints cards nicely on that setting. I do suggest you get the larger extended black ink cartridge . I never have counted pages . For business use I used to purchase all four once a month . Now a few times a year.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I called 800 bestbuy and s/w rep who looked up SKU and item number, said it's not HY and will address the inconsistency. I went to Epson website (identical price, btw) and they don't sell a HY color multi-pack, so I believe it doesn't exist.
