• Do you think it's appropriate for a college to purchase an item not designed for such traffic? There are better-perhaps more expensive-options that are designed for the workload of a college lab.

• So I am not completely sure if you can put a password on it, but I will check next time I can and come back to let you know, but if you were to add it to the wifi of a college dorm, anyone on that wifi (or specific access point) will be able to see and access it.
