“Does this have pigment or dye based ink? How about the 2760 & 2850? Prefer pigment ink for fade & water resistance, plus better for printing on transparencies. But if this is dye, how will it hold up in these ways? Thanks!”

It uses the same dye based on as the 2720, Epson 522. The 2760 and 2850 use 502 ink which is pigment black with dye based colors. Epson has a section of their site for SDS on all of their inks.
