You can scan the photo on this printer on 1200dpi to your mac or Pc and then crop the image to 5x7 size choosing the important portion of the image. This step is necessary because the ratio of your existing 4x6 image is not same as 5x7 image. When compared together, 4x6 will be wide in perspective and 5x7 will be taller in perspective. Once you crop the image then you can print it on the 5x7 photo paper
