• Hi JMAC, The EcoTank ET-4850 requires a standard landline connection to send and receive faxes. Just like a traditional fax machine. You also have the option of sending scans via email directly from the ET-4850, if you connect it to the Internet and sign up for a free Epson Connect account. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
