“if the color cartridge runs out will it still print with the black ink?”

• No, it will not print. Even if you select greyscale, this printer requires a small amount of color ink to print at all times. It says this on the Epson website. This is very frustrating, since I've found that my color ink runs out very quickly even when only printing in greyscale.
